How we make money

Broadband Trail is free to use. We earn money from phone calls: when you call the number on this site, a call-routing system connects you with our team or with a partner, and we may be paid for that call and when you sign up for service. Payment can come from internet providers, their authorized sales partners or companies that buy calls from us.

What this means for you

• We are an independent comparison and connection service, not an internet provider and not a provider's support line.
• Some providers pay us and some do not, so the people you speak with may not be able to offer every provider available at your address. Ask which providers they can sign you up with.
• Payments do not change the coverage data on our pages. Provider tables are sorted by the share of homes each provider reports covering, not by who pays us.

Calls and tracking

The phone number shown on a page may be a tracking number that tells us which page you called from. The call reaches the same service either way.
